Starting from a metaphysical proposition that within a being is a reflection of the cosmos, a metaphor is used to connect the proposition with a mathematical model. The metaphor is taking the being as the unit circle, with a within, a boundary, and a without. In math, the reflection within of the entire without is modeled by the reciprical relationship.
The proposition that the interior of a being is infinite is explored mathematically by taking the bounded unit circle and mapping it to an unbounded area equal that of the unbounded cosmos without. This is accomplished through the Tangent or Tic-tac-Toe Transformation. more...
Finally, the idea that the universe is bounded by God is explored using the relationship of stereographic projection, by which the exterior and interior are mapped to equally sized bounded unit circles.
Jesus is the zero factor, from a Christian standpoint. He is God (infinity) become man (1) who poured himself out completely into death (0). Jesus in the center of the heart, at the zero point, connects a person with the infinite outside creation.
Another model I am exploring is that of each being as their own dimension in a multi-dimensional space. The origin, or zero point, is the point they all share in common, and is the only point shared. Again, the zero point is like Jesus, the God in every man, who allows him into the center of their being.
